Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Leicester City are closing in on a move to sign RedBull Salzburg striker Patson Daka. The 22-year-old has been in sensational form over the last 12 months and Leicester are in advanced talks. Liverpool fans are frustrated on Twitter.
According to Zambia Football, Liverpool, Arsenal and West Ham United are all keen on signing the Zambia international. The Express claims that Daka is available for a bargain figure of just £17million. But Leicester are looking as though they are on pole.
Leicester are looking to sign a striker to rival both Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho in the final third – the latter of which was excellent last term. Romano claims that while a deal for Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard is going to fall through, Leicester are instead, going to sign Daka this summer.
What are Liverpool fans saying about Leicester closing in on Daka?
Liverpool need additions in the final third. While Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mo Salah remain first choice – with Diogo Jota a more than adequate replacement – they have little else. Xherdan Shaqiri is likely to be sold, while Divock Origi is expected to leave this summer, too.
So, Liverpool fans are obviously frustrated at the news that Leicester are closing in on a move to beat them to Daka.
