Liverpool fans in awe of Netherlands star, Klopp reportedly keen on signing
Arnaut Danjuma was sensational for the Netherlands in their emphatic 6-0 win over Gibraltar this week – and Liverpool fans are in awe.
Nigeria-born Danjuma, 24, clocked up his third cap for the Netherlands on Monday as The Netherlands eased past their opposition with a heavy win.
Danjuma joined Villarreal from Bournemouth in the summer, with Sky Sports reporting that a fee of £21.3million changed hands for the attacker.
It has proved to be a wonderful bit of business for the La Liga club. Under Unai Emery, Danjuma has netted five goals in eight appearances so far.
Now, he is shining on the international stage – netting his second goal for Oranje against Gibraltar in just three caps. Liverpool are said to be keen.
Liverpool fans discuss Danjuma, after Netherlands display
Well, it is clear to all that Liverpool need cover in the final third. Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are set to represent their countries at AFCON in January.
A crucial part of the Premier League race, Liverpool will be keen not to drop in their title pursuit. But without Salah and Mane, it will be hard.
Harvey Elliott is expected to return well after the turn of the year, while Xherdan Shaqiri has moved to Lyon. They need cover.
Danjuma, clearly, would be a brilliant addition. A winger that scores goals as regularly as a striker. Liverpool fans discussed a potential move.
