Dominik Szoboszlai caught the eye of Liverpool fans after a position change versus Aston Villa.
Liverpool were in poor form ahead of the fixture, failing to win six of their last seven matches.
It therefore came as little surprise when Arne Slot made some key changes to his eleven on the day.
Florian Wirtz was dropped to the bench, while Dominik Szoboszlai started in the number 10 role.
Elsewhere, Milos Kerkez was dropped amid a tough start to his career at Anfield, with Andy Robertson making a return at left-back.

Liverpool fans pleased with Dominik Szoboszlai after position change vs Aston Villa
With Szoboszlai featuring as a 10, Slot’s men were able to press much more effectively, penning Villa back in their own half and creating plenty of chances as a result.
The midfielder should have opened the scoring midway through the first half following some great defensive work, but his effort was tame.
Regardless, Liverpool fans still took to social media to praise Szoboszlai for how impactful he was in Wirtz’s position.
One fan wrote: “Szoboszlai in the 10 makes such a difference for Liverpool. He’s a pressing monster.”
A second added: “Szoboszlai the only man doing a day’s work for Liverpool lately.”
“Szoboszlai is so good,” stated a third Liverpool supporter, with a fourth writing: “I love ——- Szoboszlai.”
A fifth Reds fan claimed: “Szoboszlai is just that guy isn’t he,” while it was also claimed that he is better than Wirtz in the 10 role: “We are in the position to do so why shouldn’t we. At the minute, Szoboszlai is a better 10 than Wirtz?”
Another tweeted: “Szoboszlai is a joke. He’s easily our best player ability wise.”
Florian Wirtz transfer criticised
Liverpool’s summer spending has been criticised this week, with a number of their new signings still yet to get up to speed on Merseyside.
Wirtz is among them, failing to provide a goal contribution in his first nine league matches this season.
Former Liverpool and Villa player Stan Collymore slammed the £116m deal for the German this week.
He said: “But I do think that Liverpool’s business, particularly around Wirtz and Isak, was borderline irresponsible.
“And I think that the reason why that was, is because they went down the Galacticos line, reams and reams and pages and pages about both players.”
