Liverpool fans believe FSG will go all in on a particular transfer target in January in the wake of some shock injury news this week.
The Reds enjoyed a superb summer on the transfer front, but not all issues were addressed.
For instance, Liverpool remained somewhat light at centre-back after the transfer window closed.
Admittedly, Giovanni Leoni impressed on his debut against Southampton, showing he has what it takes to impress at a high level.
However, Leoni was injured in the Carabao Cup win and, the following day, it was reported that he had suffered a torn ACL.
Fabrizio Romano claimed that Leoni is set for several months on the sidelines and would try to return this season.
Now, Liverpool fans say it’s more important than ever to bring in a replacement in January, and they know just the man.

Fans expect Liverpool to go all in on Marc Guehi
Last summer, Liverpool very nearly got the signing of Marc Guehi over the line after agreeing a £35million deal with Crystal Palace.
However, the Eagles couldn’t bring in an adequate replacement and, with time running out, they made the decision to keep hold of Guehi.
Now, in the wake of Leoni’s injury, Liverpool fans are expecting FSG to step up their efforts to sign Guehi in the January window.
“Feels like Liverpool’s season could depend on getting that Marc Guehi deal done in January,” one fan wrote on X.
“Gutted for Leoni, what a debut, hopefully he’s doing OK mentally.”
Another supporter said: “You have to think that means we bring Guehi in for January now rather than waiting.
“Leoni looked the best player on the pitch for me too. He looked more than ready.”
The calls to sign Guehi kept coming, with one fan writing: “I assume the club will move forward plans to sign Guehi in January rather than waiting until the summer with the Leoni injury.
“Can’t have just 3 senior CBs.”
Another supporter wrote: “Guess we’ll be making a bid for Guehi in Jan now. Gutted for Leoni but his age will help massively in terms of recovery.”
Another fan said: “Plans will have definitely changed with Leoni injury, Marc Guehi in January will most likely happen.”

How Marc Guehi reportedly feels about Liverpool move after summer drama
Although Liverpool failed to get their hands on Guehi in the summer, that doesn’t mean they’ve lost out entirely.
With Guehi’s contract expiring next summer, it’s very much a case of whether he’ll leave in January or run his contract down completely and leave after next June.
Luckily for Liverpool, Guehi is apparently still keen on a move to Anfield, according to Ben Jacobs.
“If Liverpool move for Guehi on a free transfer, especially if Ibrahima Konate departs for Real Madrid, I think the Crystal Palace captain would be very keen and still very willing to join as he was during the last window,” Jacobs told GiveMeSport earlier this week.
