Champions League hero Divock Origi has ended speculation over his Liverpool future by committing to a new long-term contract, the club has announced via their official website.
The 24-year-old talisman was inspirational during the latter stages of the 2018/19 campaign.
He notched a crucial winning goal at Newcastle United to take the title race to the final day with Liverpool eventually failing to land the Premier League crown.

Origi also scored twice in a memorable 4-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League, before netting the second goal in the final over Tottenham.
The Liverpool striker arrived at Anfield in 2014 from Lille and has taken some time to finally have an impact on the first-team.
Following his exploits last season he will surely hope to play a bigger part for the Reds next season in terms of games started.
Having now written his name into Liverpool folklore after his Champions League heroics, the club’s supporters were delighted with the announcement of his new deal on Twitter.

It is unsure what the length of his new deal is at this stage but nonetheless, the Reds’ supporters took to Twitter to congratulate the Belgian.
