TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Liverpool have not ruled out a move for Arsenal target Jorrel Hato.
The Reds have been busy in the early stages of the summer transfer window, signing a number of players, while the Gunners are yet to get off the mark.
Arsenal are currently frontrunners for Hato, who is keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
TBR Football previously confirmed that the £40million-rated defender thinks Arsenal are “perfect” for him after holding talks.
However, that’s not to say the race is over, and TBR Football can reveal what could lead Liverpool to step in and make a move.

Liverpool could yet move for Jorrel Hato if both Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas look set to leave
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has reiterated that Arsenal and Chelsea have both held talks over Jorrel Hato.
And while this is not the case for Liverpool, Bailey confirmed that the Reds have done “a lot of work” on the 19-year-old Dutchman.
Liverpool could yet lose both of their main left-backs this summer and, should this happen, then there’s a good chance they could move for Hato.
“I know Arsenal have enjoyed watching him at centre-half as Liverpool and Chelsea have,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.
“He’s a fascinating option for those two. We know Arsenal and Chelsea have begun talks.
“Liverpool – everyone presumes it’s Andrew Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas and one of them are going, but there is that option as well where if Robertson goes and then someone wants Tsimikas, they have the option of bringing someone else in.
“Hato is someone they’ve done a lot of work on so I wouldn’t necessarily rule Liverpool completely out there – obviously he can play centrally too.”
Where Jorrel Hato ranks among the world’s best young players
In March, Goal.com published their NxGn 2025 list, which features the 50 best teenagers in world football.
Hato was ranked in ninth place, one place behind Myles Lewis-Skelly and three behind his Arsenal teammate Ethan Nwaneri.
They wrote that Hato ‘has grown into one of the best defenders in the Eredivisie while also showcasing his versatility by playing all across the backline before settling in at left-back this season.’
They continued: ‘He is both comfortable in possession and able to mix it physically despite not having an imposing stature, meaning he has everything needed to one day become an elite centre-back.
‘That combination of attributes, combined with the maturity that has come from his extended exposure to top-flight football, means that Hato is not short of suitors, with Arsenal and Liverpool thought to be at the front of the queue as the summer approaches.’
