Liverpool and Arsenal both want new players before the season starts and both are exploring a deal involving the same player.

The Gunners are close to signing Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna as they look to kickstart their window while for Liverpool, it’s all very quiet.

However, that doesn’t mean new players are not being looked at and according to reports, both clubs are looking at a deal for the same forward.

A new attacking player – especially a wide-man – is thought to be high on the list of both Arsenal and Liverpool.

And according to CaughtOffside, attentions are now turning to whether they can bring in one of Serie A’s most highly-rated forwards.

Liverpool and Arsenal looking into deal to sign Federico Chiesa

According to the report from CaughtOffside, Federico Chiesa is very much on the radar of Premier League clubs.

As we know, Tottenham are one of the teams looking at signing Chiesa and there has been suggestions that a deal for Spurs could be close.

However, with nothing done just yet, it’s now being reported that Liverpool are once again looking at Chiesa, cementing their long-term interest.

Arsenal, too, are also keen on Chiesa, with the Gunners keen to add a new forward.

Of course, Chiesa is a highly-rated player and a certain Cristiano Ronaldo is a big fan after working with him in Turin, with Ronaldo previously wanting Manchester United to land him.

Lauded in his homeland as a ‘superstar‘, Chiesa’s ability to play off either wing or down the middle is something that will appeal to Arsenal and Liverpool.

It’s claimed he could be available for around £25m as well, which in the current market, represents excellent value.

After years of links, it seems we might well end up seeing Chiesa in England after all.
