Liverpool are about to sign out another young star but he is set to join Championship side Blackburn Rovers over Celtic.

Despite their lack of incomings this summer, the Reds have been busy offloading several youngsters.

Fabio Carvalho completed a £27million move to Brentford and Sepp van de Berg joined him in London in a £20million deal.

Liverpool are also closing in on a deal for Stefan Bajcetic with Valencia keen on the 19-year-old. Valencia have already done business with the Merseyside club this season with Giorgi Mamardashvili set to join Liverpool imminently.

Academy product Owen Beck is the next headed for the exit at Liverpool with reports that a loan deal has been agreed.

Liverpool agree to loan youngster

According to Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph, Beck is set to join Championship side Blackburn Rovers on a loan deal.

Via X, formerly known as Twitter, Joseph posted “Blackburn Rovers have agreed a loan deal for Liverpool left-back Owen Beck.

“The 22yo was attracting a lot of interest this summer, with QPR & Celtic also making enquiries.

“Beck spent last season on loan at Dundee, in two separate spells.”

After impressing in Scotland at Dundee, Celtic had shown an interest in Beck but the Liverpool youngster is set to stay south of the border to gather experience in the Championship.

Liverpool will have eyes peeled on ‘fantastic’ talent

Beck has only made three senior appearances at Liverpool, but the Reds are clearly eager to keep hold of the young left-back rather than sell him permanently.

During his time in the Under-23s, coach Barry Lewtas singled Beck out for praise and hailed him as “fantastic” and a “consistent performer”.

Liverpool will be keeping a keen eye on Beck’s progress at Blackburn this season.
