Although there’s still one Premier League match left to play, Newcastle United and West Ham United players may now be starting to focus elsewhere.
The World Cup is just weeks away, and players are starting to discover if they’ve been called-up to their national team’s squads.
England don’t announce their squad until Thursday, with Declan Rice and Kieran Trippier both expected to be involved.
Club allegiances tend to go out the window when it comes to international tournaments.
Brazil coach Tite announced his squad ahead of the Selecao’s campaign in Qatar.

There were a couple of surprises in the 26-man roster, with Gabriel Martinelli making the cut.
However, West Ham and Newcastle will both have representatives in the South American side.
Bruno Guimaraes has been one of the league’s best midfielders this season, and was deservedly named in the squad yesterday.
His midfield partner Joelinton unfortunately didn’t make the final cut after being included in Brazil’s long list.
Guimaraes was buzzing for new West Ham playmaker Lucas Paqueta who was also called-up.
Guimaraes buzzing for Paqueta
West Ham’s record signing took to Instagram after the news was announced.
Paqueta said, “God has prepared everything! Glory to Jesus for allowing me to live this unique dream.
“Thank you to all who have or are a part of it.”
Guimaraes was clearly buzzing for Paqueta and replied, “Let’s gooo glory to God.”

The £40m Newcastle midfielder may end up competing with Paqueta for a place in Brazil’s starting line-up.
Manchester United’s Casemiro will sit at the base of Brazil’s midfield, with his club teammate Fred potentially starting alongside him.
Tite is a big fan of Paqueta as Brazil’s main playmaker, and he’s likely to sit behind Neymar Jr. and Richarlison.
The pair are already good friends, having played together at Olympique Lyon before both making the move to the Premier League.

Paqueta has already really impressed David Moyes, and his skills amazed his West Ham teammates in the Europa Conference League.
Brazil are likely to be one of the favourites at the World Cup and they have an incredibly talented squad.
It’s a sign of how far Newcastle and West Ham have come that they both have representatives in Tite’s team.
