Some Leicester City fans on Twitter are convinced they won’t be losing James Maddison during this summer transfer window, amid reports linking him with Arsenal.

Maddison is reportedly attracting interest because of the talent he’s shown at the King Power Stadium since he joined in 2018.

According to Football London, the 24-year-old is a target for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. Additionally, he’s valued at £60million.

Leicester have proven themselves to be shrewd negotiators in the last few years, so it seems like the Gunners have a big job on their hands if they want to bring the attacking midfielder to the Emirates Stadium.

He finished the recent season with 10 goals and 11 assists in 42 appearances.

There must be disappointment that he’s not with England at Euro 2020. But, he’s a talented playmaker that has star quality.

Maddison looks an excellent fit for Arsenal

Firstly, Maddison is one of several young players that has made Leicester so exciting to watch in recent times. Secondly, the Englishman is a flair player that drifts into pockets of space, and is a creative hub. In addition, that’s the kind of player Arsenal fans love to watch, so he should be popular with them.

He can play as a central attacking midfielder or a left-winger, but he often roams in Brendan Rodgers’ system at Leiceter.

The £110,000-a-week ace though is someone Leicester fans don’t believe will leave.

A selection of Foxes supporters on social media are confident that they’ll keep Arsenal at arm’s length in their pursuit of Maddison.
