Leeds United need to be busy towards the end of this summer transfer window.
The Whites have sold so many key players in this window, and they have to make a number of signings to replace their star men.
While attacking outgoings such as Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville have been in the headlines recently, Leeds’ midfield has also been decimated.
Glen Kamara and Archie Gray have both left the club this summer, and replacements are needed.
Luckily, it sounds as though Leeds have their eye on one midfielder from the Premier League.

Leeds interested in Hannibal Mejbri
According to The Mail (Wednesday 21 August, page 61), Leeds United are interested in signing Hannibal Mejbri from Manchester United.
The Tunisian midfielder hasn’t quite hit the heights expected of him at Old Trafford, and a departure could be on the cards this summer.
Hannibal could be ideal for Leeds. He’s a combative midfielder who also has quality on the ball.
Of course, any signing from Manchester United has to work extra hard to impress Leeds fans, but Hannibal already has a great role model to follow at Elland Road in that regard.
Indeed, Daniel James is a former Manchester United player who has become important at Leeds, and, interestingly, Hannibal did actually play alongside James at United, albeit very briefly.
Hannibal has to hit the ground running
As a young player coming from Manchester United, Hannibal will be facing an uphill task when it comes to winning fans over at Leeds.
Leeds supporters, naturally, dislike anyone or anything that has an association with Manchester United, so Hannibal will have to play very well if he’s to win the crowd over.
Luckily, as his previous loan spell with Birmingham City showed, Hannibal is a very good player at this level, and if Leeds do get this deal done, they could have a real midfield gem on their hands.
This could be a very smart signing from the Whites.
