Leeds transfer news: Club want 'explosive' George Hall next after Rutter signing

Leeds United could be about to their club record transfer fee smashed today, with Georginio Rutter on his way.

The Hoffenheim forward looks set to break the record set by Brenden Aaronson when he arrived at the club this summer.

A report from the Daily Mail suggests Jesse Marsch’s side aren’t done in this window either.

Defender Maximilian Wober has already arrived at Elland Road this month.

He made his debut against Cardiff City in the FA Cup, and Marsch was very pleased with his performance.

The pressure will be on Rutter to hit the ground running given the fee involved in his move.

Transfers are getting more and more expensive, but Leeds are now doing everything they can to stay in the Premier League.

Rodrigo Moreno has been fantastic in front of goal this season, and his finishing has earned Marsch’s side plenty of points.

Leeds will be hoping Rutter can alleviate some of that burden on the Spanish international.

The Daily Mail report that the Whites want to add another two young players to their ranks this month.

Leeds reportedly want to sign Birmingham City midfielder George Hall this month.

The ‘explosive’ youngster would be the latest high-potential player to arrive at Elland Road in the past few seasons.

Marsch has had his eye on Hall for some time, and once described him as a ‘star in the making’.

Leeds want to sign youngster Hall

Marsch has had the opportunity to use a number of brilliant young players this season.

The likes of Crysencio Summerville, Wilfried Gnonto and Sam Greenwood have made a real impact when called upon.

There’s a lot of pressure on such young players to help Leeds preserve their Premier League status.

However, they’ve already proved their good enough to play at this level.

Leeds want to sign Hall to continue building towards the future, although he’s already making his mark in the Championship.

Hall has made 18 appearances in the league this season, and has followed in the footsteps of Jude Bellingham.

If Hall could fulfil even half the potential of Bellingham, Leeds would have a serious talent on their hands.
