Leeds United want to sign Birmingham City midfielder George Hall

Football journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed that Leeds United are ‘making moves’ to sign Birmingham City midfielder George Hall in January.

The Whites have always prioritised the signings of young players with big potential. Crysencio Summerville, who has been outstanding over the last few weeks, is one that springs to mind, but there are many others.

Hall could well be the next young player Leeds go after.

Leeds United want to sign Birmingham City midfielder George Hall

This isn’t the first time Hall has been linked with a move to Leeds United.

The Daily Mail reported a little over a year ago that Leeds and a bunch of other Premier League clubs watched young Hall make his debut for the England U18s team.

Leeds have been linked a number of times since then, and if O’Rourke is to be believed, Jesse Marsch’s side are already making moves to sign the young English midfielder.

The journalist told GiveMeSport: “I think Hall is a very highly-rated player. He’s already got good experience playing for Birmingham in the Championship.

“Leeds obviously see him as a potential star in the making.

“That’s why they’re making moves to try and sign him.”

Hall is a hugely talented young midfielder, there’s no doubt about that.

The England U18 international, branded as ‘explosive’ by Birmingham City’s youth coach Matt Olorenshaw, has played 17 times for the Blues this season, but only five of those appearances have come from the start.

The Daily Mail revealed recently that it’s ‘inevitable’ that Hall will leave the club during the January transfer window.

That opens the door for Leeds to lure him in, and if they really want him, they should be able to get him in the January transfer window.
