Leeds fans say Trent Alexander-Arnold has copied Kalvin Phillips haircut
Some Leeds United fans on Twitter are convinced that Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has taken inspiration in his new haircut from their very own Kalvin Phillips.
In a video shared on the Heirdesigns Instagram page, Alexander-Arnold has been pictured with a new trim.
22-year-old right-back Alexander-Arnold, who unfortunately had to pull out of the Euro 2020 England squad through injury, has shown off a new hairstyle.
A selection of Leeds supporters on social media can see the resemblance with their midfielder Phillips.
Phillips, 25, is a popular name in the media right now after his man of the match performance at the weekend. The Leeds-born midfielder assisted a goal in a 1-0 victory against Croatia in England’s opening group game of Euro 2020.
Leeds fans say Alexander-Arnold haircut shows Phillips mania has struck
For Phillips, the last few days must have been surreal for him.
He’s surely been discussed by football fans in the last 48 hours more than in the whole of his entire career before the Croatian match.
His praise is throughly deserved though.
If he can continue in the same vein of form, it may even be difficult for Liverpool captain and England colleague Jordan Henderson to come back into the starting XI.
He was part of a midfield trio that looked nicely balanced alongside Declan Rice and Mason Mount. For instance, Phillips and Mount had the freedom to roam at times with Rice at the base. Additionally, they managed to hold their own against a very talented Croatia trio.
