A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Lewis Bate after Mark Jackson confirmed why the midfielder missed their under-23 clash on Saturday.
Bate has been a mainstay of the under-23 side following his arrival at Elland Road in the summer.

The 19-year-old has been exceptional since his move from Premier League rivals Chelsea. He scored a world-class goal in midweek as the under-21s faced Salford City in the Papa John’s Trophy.
So it was very interesting that he was missing from the squad for the weekend’s clash with Manchester United.
Obviously, the worry would have been that he was injured or ill. But Jackson subsequently suggested that Bate missed the contest due to training with the first-team.

For many, Bate’s absence is a clear sign that he will be in the Leeds squad for Sunday’s clash with Leicester City.
Obviously, it is potentially too soon to expect Bate to get a debut. Bielsa has always been patient with the best under-23 prospects within his squad.

With that in mind, here is what some of the fans make of the news surrounding Bate…
