Leeds United supporters have further reason to believe that they have been cursed this season, with reports this week claiming that Kalvin Phillips could be out for two months due to an injury sustained at the weekend.
The Whites have endured a torrid time with injury this season. Remarkably, Marcelo Bielsa is still yet to have a fully fit squad at his disposal since being appointed at Elland Road.

It had appeared that that run was finally set to end. Leeds welcomed Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling back for Sunday’s game with Brentford. Pascal Struijk and Robin Koch meanwhile, looked to be getting closer to shaking off their respective injuries.
And the Whites celebrated with a stoppage-time goal that sent Elland Road into a frenzy with Bamford earning Leeds a point against the Bees.

Unfortunately, the news in the days since has been incredibly bleak. The Telegraph is now reporting that there are fears that Phillips will not feature again until February due to a hamstring injury.
Phillips limped off in the middle of the eight-minute period in which Leeds went from 1-0 up against the Bees to 2-1 down. The home side had already lost Liam Cooper to injury in the first-half.
And The Telegraph has now suggested that Bamford suffered a setback in the celebrations that followed his goal.

But the news concerning Phillips looks to be massive. Bielsa is still yet to find a player to replicate what the 26-year-old brings to the side. They do have options who can fill in. But it could be a huge blow.
Should he return in exactly two months, he will miss at least nine games. And with Leeds in a precarious position in the Premier League, you can understand why the supporters are so worried.
With that in mind, here is what some of the fans make of the reports…
