Leeds fans react as reports claim 24-year-old Bielsa reportedly loves has £20m release clause
Ryan Kent is a name that has been linked with Leeds United beyond just this summer’s window. Ever since the Whites returned to the Premier League, the Rangers ace has been on the Yorkshire club’s shortlist. Now, his release clause has been made public, and Leeds fans want Kent signed.
The 24-year-old was first linked with Leeds even before promotion and his name continues to crop up. While some fans believe reports are simply just regurgitation of previous interest, other reports state that Bielsa is a long-time admirer. At least, that is what The Athletic report on Thursday.
What do Leeds fans think of Kent and his Rangers release clause?
They claim that Bielsa is “fixated” on Kent. Not just interested, then. They also state that Rangers – who stand to make a loss of £14.4million – would sell Kent if his release clause is met. That currently stands at £20million, £8million more than Leeds have ever offered Rangers for the Ibrox star.
Leeds fans have taken to Twitter and it is a mixed reaction. Some do not believe the ex-Liverpool star, who cost Rangers £7million, is worth almost triple the initial outlay. Some Leeds fans want their club to pay up for Kent, while others do not think the club can afford his Rangers release clause.
