A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from the weekend claiming that the Whites are eyeing a move for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.

The January transfer window is becoming increasingly important for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. They remain right in the mix for relegation having endured the most outrageous run with injuries.

It would be a huge error for Leeds to not strengthen next month. And it appears that they may have set their sights on some ambitious deals as they look to get their campaign back on track.

According to The Sun, Leeds want McKennie. It is noted that he is valued at around £20 million, so would be affordable for the Whites.

McKennie meanwhile, is keen to stay at Juventus and fight for his place. It is also suggested that he may not be too keen on moving to Elland Road while they find themselves languishing towards the latter places in the table.

McKennie has not had the easiest time with the Old Lady. However, he has previously shone with Schalke. And at 23, it is clear that he has a lot of potential.
