Leeds United are looking to try and convince Weston McKennie to join from Juventus in a £20 million move during the January transfer window, according to a report from The Sun.
Leeds’ need for signings next month has only increased in the last few weeks. Of course, many supporters may have anticipated a quiet month based on how Bielsa has tended to use January in seasons gone by. But surely, there is little chance of the Whites not strengthening when the chance arises.

Leeds potentially have more players out right now than some of the sides having games postponed. And the players they do have left are struggling desperately. They have conceded 14 goals across the last three games.
The fans remain on Bielsa’s side. But you would understand if that support waned slightly should Leeds allow next month to pass without new signings.
The encouraging news for those concerned fans is that Leeds do have their eye on potential targets. And they could be open to some exciting moves in the market.

The Sun reports that McKennie is wanted by the Whites. It is claimed that his £20 million asking price leaves him in their price range.
The report does suggest that McKennie will need some convincing to move to Elland Road due to their current position and his desire to stay at Juventus. He has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, with Antonio Conte an admirer.
Leeds signing McKennie would be exciting statement in January transfer window
It seems a long time ago that supporters were crying out for further reinforcement in midfield. However, that is simply down to the remarkable raft of injuries that have happened since.
The middle of the park remains a weak spot for Leeds, in terms of quality and depth. And thus, signing McKennie would be a fantastic statement from the Whites.
Bringing the USMNT international to the club would inject some much-needed positivity into the side. So if they can convince him to join, it would be a huge boost for Leeds.
