Leeds braced for club-record bid; Arsenal back in for 'incredible' January target: Friday's transfer round-up

Barcelona are now preparing a last-ditch £60 million bid for Raphinha to try and stop him joining Chelsea from Leeds, according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.

Raphinha’s preferred move all summer long has been a switch to the Camp Nou, but their financial issues mean they have not had the money Leeds are after.

They have now tried to free up some cash to make a late swoop, but Raphinha has looked set to join Chelsea, amid interest from Arsenal and Tottenham, so it remains to be seen what comes next.

Arsenal and Barcelona could be on another collision course over another Brazilian in the shape of Arthur Melo, who is another player Tuttomercatoweb say would jump at the chance to join the Catalan outfit.

Reports in January claimed that Edu agreed a deal for a loan move for Arthur, but the Gunners hierarchy did not give it the green light.

Going back to Leeds, they are willing to pay £34.5 million for Charles De Ketelaere, according to a report from 90min, as they gear up to replace Raphinha

But they feel that he could well be set for a move to another Premier League club, Leicester City.

After signing Marc Roca from Bayern Munich, Leeds are also interested of their players this summer, with 90min reporting that the Whites are one of the clubs monitoring Chris Richards.

Also according to 90min, Arsenal are keeping tabs on Serge Gnabry’s contract situation at Bayern and could make a move to re-sign him this summer, if they do indeed miss out on Raphinha.
