Brighton attacker Leandro Trossard admitted that he rejected Arsenal three years ago, now Mikel Arteta could reportedly move to sign him.
Arsenal are in the market for attacking reinforcements this month and seem to be closing in on a deal to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk.
Arteta was also said to be keen on the possibility of bringing Joao Felix to the Emirates Stadium. But with the Portuguese star set to join Chelsea on loan, Arsenal have been linked with a move for Trossard.
TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook took to Twitter this morning and suggested that Arsenal are monitoring the 28-year-old’s situation at the Amex Stadium, while Tottenham are also interested in the winger.
While it remains unclear whether Arsenal will form up their interest in Trossard, Arsenal fans may remember when he was linked with a move to the club over three-years ago.

Trossard admitted he rejected Arsenal three years ago
Trossard completed a switch to Brighton from Genk back in the summer of 2019. But he admitted that he was in talks with the Gunners while Unai Emery was still in charge.
“I was in conversations with Arsenal. (But) a move to Arsenal or Atlético Madrid might not have been the right one,” he told Nieuwsblad.
“The trainer, Graham Potter, had come to the Belgium team hotel in Tubize three weeks before my wedding to come and talk to me. That he came for that made me feel good.
“Brighton were nervous and pushed to (complete the) deal quickly. And Brighton is not the worst place to live.” as quoted by HITC.

Trossard’s performances for the Seagulls have been described as ‘unreal‘ after seemingly turning down the chance to move to north London.
The Belgian forward has been exceptional this season as he’s scored seven goals and registered three assists in the Premier League. It’s no surprise that he’s attracting interest from top clubs and he could be a useful addition to Arteta’s squad.
At 28, he doesn’t fit the usual age profile of an Arteta signing, but he could provide some much-needed depth across the front-three.
