Peter Crouch told BT Sport last night that Antonio Conte simply doesn’t trust two Tottenham Hotspur players – Yves Bissouma and Djed Spence.
Conte’s men were held to a goalless draw against Eintracht Frankfurt last night. Spurs created some decent openings but just couldn’t find a way through.
Conte made three changes towards the end of the game as he looked to find a winner. The Italian introduced Ben Davies, Ryan Sessegnon and even handed Bryan Gil his first minutes of the season.
But Bissouma and Spence were once again ignored by the Spurs boss. And Crouch feels Conte doesn’t trust the pair enough yet.

Crouch says Conte doesn’t trust Bissouma and Spence
Speaking on BT Sport, Crouch feels both Spence and Bissouma have not yet earned enough trust to start for Spurs.
“I do think there is a lack of trust in them, with Bissouma and Spence as well,” he said.
“I think there is a lack of belief in starting them.”
Spence has only made one appearance for Spurs since making the switch from Middlesbrough over the summer.
The 22-year-old came on as a late substitute in the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest back in August but has not played a single minute since.

Bissouma has been used more frequently by Conte and has made eight appearances in a Spurs shirt. But the Mali international has only clocked up a total of 160 minutes, with all but one of his appearances coming as a substitute.
The 26-year-old did put in a promising cameo in the 6-2 win over Leicester last month but Conte has admitted Bissouma is ‘struggling’ to adapt to his tactics.
Both players will be hoping to be given a real chance to impress over the coming weeks with a packed fixture schedule ahead.
Spurs will now play two games every week up until the World Cup in Qatar and Conte will need to rotate his squad with games coming thick and fast.
