Liverpool are edging closer to sealing their first piece of January business as they look to send one of their young stars out on a fresh loan deal.
The Reds are top of the Premier League table at the moment and while some eyes from fans are on who the club might sign, Liverpool are also working on outgoings.
Manager Arne Slot is keen to ensure his squad is utilised properly and that includes the young players out on loan.

And now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are close to agreeing a new deal to send Stefan Bajcetic to La Liga.

Liverpool to send Stefan Bajcetic to Real Betis
Taking to X to confirm the news on Bajcetic, Fabrizio Romano has said that Liverpool are now in advanced discussions to do the deal with Real Betis.
Bajcetic has been playing regularly with RB Salzburg in the Austrian league but it seems Liverpool feel he can produce at a higher level and a move to Spain is now on.
Bajcetic can be like a new Liverpool signing next season
There’s no doubt Liverpool will need some of their younger players to step up in the coming seasons and Stefan Bajcetic is one who looks good enough to make a big career for himself.
He was flying under Jurgen Klopp at one point and injury held him back.
However, he’s not back on the scene and a step up in class to La Liga seems a logical solution for the Reds to go ahead with.
Labelled as a ‘top quality’ midfielder by fellow Red Tyler Morton, Bajcetic could feel like a brand new signing for Liverpool next season and subsequently save them millions.
