His teammates were clearly impressed with his performance, with Dejan Kulusevski posted a love heart on Hojbjerg’s post.

On-loan defender Sergio Reguilon also commented, calling Hojbjerg a ‘warrior’.

Son Heung-min said Hojbjerg was ‘incredible’ against Frankfurt in the Champions League on Wednesday.

As well as being an important defensive asset to Conte, Hojbjerg has added an attacking flair to his game.

The £12m signing from Southampton has shown he’s worth every penny, and Hojbjerg’s impressive performance yesterday only proves that further.
