Arsenal might need a new striker through the door in the January transfer window.
There’s this growing view that the Gunners are lacking a proven goalscorer in their team at the moment, and many new attacking options have been linked.
The likes of Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney have been discussed as potential targets, as has Dusan Vlahovic.
Speaking on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel, Kevin Campbell has been discussing the idea of Vlahovic coming to the Emirates, and he reckons that while the Serbian hasn’t started this season very well, he’d be a great option up front for the Gunners.

Vlahovic a great option
Campbell shared his verdict on the striker.
“Listen, we’re in the business of trying to win, so we have to be looking at upgrades, killer strikers, there aren’t many around. I know he hasn’t started the season as well as he would like, but he’s a killer striker. Juventus have been struggling, but if you give him the opportunities he’ll put the ball away. We need to bring in players who are going to be killers,” Campbell said.
Risky
There’s a lot to like about Vlahovic as a player, but we can’t help but think this move would be a risk.
The striker has only scored four league goals so far this season, and he only netted 10 last term.
Yes, he’s capable of scoring at a great rate, but, at the same time, he’s not done it over the past 18 months.
Gabriel Jesus outscored Vlahovic last season, and we’ve heard nothing but complaints about his scoring rate as of late.
If Arsenal are to go and spend big on a number nine in January, they need the finished product who has proven he can score over a sustained period of time.
