Tottenham Hotspur have enquired about PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo, who is a man in demand right now.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with Gakpo as they look to bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad, with ESPN reporting he would cost around £35 million.
And last month, it was reported that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Gakpo, as he continues his search for more firepower.
And speaking on YouTube, Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas said that Spurs can not be ruled out of the chase for the Dutchman yet either.

Tottenham could sign Cody Gakpo
He said: “(Dan James) is on the list and there is interest but it hasn’t gone any further which suggests Spurs have got other more quality players they will potentially look at.
“Earlier in the window, Spurs made an enquiry about Cody Gakpo. Now, obviously, he hasn’t gone anywhere. He’s been repeatedly linked with Manchester United but they’re focusing their attentions on Antony at the moment.
“It’s not clear whether United will go for two wingers and I think they might prefer to spend the money in other areas. Cody Gakpo is one to keep an eye on.
“Spurs definitely like him. Right-footed, plays off the left, talented, wouldn’t cost as much as Anthony Gordon, so another watching brief I think.”
Of course, if he moved to Tottenham, Gakpo would get Champions League football, which he would not get at Arsenal or United.
Tonight, he is hoping to try and guide PSV into the group stage of Europe’s elite competition, which they host Rangers in the second leg of their qualifier.
The first leg ended 2-2 at Ibrox, and Gakpo and his teammates will hope that home advantage can get them over the line.
Perhaps if they do not make it, it would strengthen Spurs’ hand in negotiations, and a late swoop cannot be ruled out.
