If things are quiet at most Premier League sides ahead of the January deadline, that’s certainly not the case for Tottenham Hotspur.
Whilst a deal had previously hit an impasse for Antonio Nusa, it now seems as if Spurs have an opportunity for a deal once again.

Similarly, Conor Gallagher’s Chelsea future is all but certain, and Tottenham could still complete an extremely controversial move.
However, the business doesn’t stop there.
It seems as if Daniel Levy is staying alert to a number of ongoing situations where the club can find value.
And that seems to be the case with Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey.
It was reported yesterday that Spurs held interest in sanctioning a deal before the deadline.
And judging by a further update by journalist Charlie Eccleshare, that may well be the case.
Eccleshare was speaking on ‘The View From The Lane’ podcast and shared why a deal may still be possible.
Tottenham could still sign Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey before January deadline
A recent report explained that Daniel Levy tries his best to find value from Spurs’ rivals who are in difficult financial situations, and that seems to be the case here.
Eccleshare explained that Villa are still struggling to reach their FFP requirements, meaning a deal was one to watch.

He said: “We’ve reported this [Monday] morning an interest in Jacob Ramsey which would be an amazing signing.
“It would be an expensive one but Villa need the money for FFP. So, that’s one to keep an eye on.”
That being said, it really does seem as if Ange Postecoglou could have a new profile to work with at Tottenham before the January deadline.
In the case of Nusa, a deal would see the winger return on to Belgium, but either Gallagher or Ramsey would make an immediate impact.
It is quite remarkable to think how far Tottenham have already come under Postecoglou, just seven months or so into their new era.
However, the club may still face some stiff competition for Ramsey from some familiar adversaries.
