Leeds transfer news: Azzedine Ounahi keen on Premier League move

Leeds United face Cardiff City in their FA Cup third round replay today as they continue to try and find some form.

Jesse Marsch’s side are struggling in the Premier League and find themselves once again in a relegation scrap.

A report from Dean Jones, via Give Me Sport, suggests Leeds aren’t done in the transfer market yet.

Marsch has already strengthened his Leeds squad this month in an attempt to avoid the bottom three.

Maximilian Wober has been brought in as another defensive option from the Red Bull group.

Meanwhile, Leeds have broken their transfer record to sign young forward Georginio Rutter.

Marsch has already been raving about the young Frenchman, who will need to hit the ground running at Elland Road.

Jones’ report suggests that Leeds target Azzedine Ounahi is keen on a move to the Premier League.

The £10,000-a-week midfielder has plenty of suitors, and Leeds will be hoping they can win the race to sign him.

Leeds target Ounahi wants Premier League move

Jones was asked about the Moroccan international’s future and said: “The player is believed to be keen on the idea of coming to the Premier League.

“But we’ve got to bear in mind that there’s also interest here from Italy and the team in question is Napoli who are absolutely flying at the top of Serie A.

“So, that is tough competition for a team like Leeds.”

The prospect of joining a relegation battle with Leeds in the Premier League may not be that appealing to Ounahi when Napoli are also in the conversation.

The Italian side are currently top of Serie A and looking to win a Scudetto after many years without one.

Fabrizio Romano recently suggested that Leeds need to decide quickly how they’re going to approach a deal for Ounahi.

Napoli have reportedly made a bid for the Moroccan that may appeal to his current club Angers.

They are believed to be willing to loan Ounahi back to the French side for the rest of the campaign.

This would certainly appeal to Angers, who are currently sitting bottom of the league.

Leeds may need to move quickly to bring Ounahi to the Premier League and avoid other teams hijacking the move.
