Kane curious to hear out Manchester United before deciding Spurs future
Harry Kane’s most likely destination if he left Tottenham after Euro 2020 would have been Manchester City, with links throughout the summer.
But apparently there are growing signs that Erling Haaland will be heading to the Etihad Stadium when the transfer window re-opens.
That means that Kane is likely to need to look elsewhere if he still wants to depart with two years of his deal now remaining.
The Athletic report that Manchester United certainly want Kane this summer as they look for a new striker to take over from veteran Cristiano Ronaldo.
And they say that Kane would be curious to hear the proposal from Old Trafford before making a decision on his own future.
There are still plenty of unknowns; who the man in the Old Trafford dugout would be and which players will be coming and going.
And Spurs currently sit three points and three places ahead of the Red Devils having played the same amount of games.
Spurs have theoretically started their rebuild earlier than United, getting in Antonio Conte but it still cannot be said with absolute certainty that the Italian will still be there when next season kicks off.
And Kane seems to want to hear what United have to say when the window opens. Aside from the Nations League in the post-season, there is not a major international tournament to distract the England captain this summer either.
