Report: Club could propose £100m+ swap deal with Arsenal involving 'lightning' player Liverpool admire

Reports from Italy this weekend are suggesting that a mega money swap deal is being considered by Juventus involving Dusan Vlahovic and Bukayo Saka.

Calciomercato makes the claim, reporting how Juventus are huge admirers of the Arsenal winger and out of all the players in world, Max Allegri considers Saka his ‘dream’ signing.

It’s reported that in order to even try and tempt Saka and Arsenal, Juventus would be willing to offer up Dusan Vlahovic in an exchange deal worth north of £100m. Of course, Vlahovic is admired by Arsenal and has been for some time, while Liverpool also looked at him before signing Cody Gakpo.

Saka has yet to put pen to paper on fresh terms with Arsenal. Despite there being a confidence around the club that a deal will get done, there remains a nervousness among some Gunners fans.

Naturally, reports of this nature will be taken with a pinch of salt. The idea that Arsenal consider swapping their top young player for a striker like Vlahovic seems a bizarre call.

However, stranger things have happened in football and should Saka somehow play hardball over a new contract, then Arsenal might have to consider all options.

TBR’s View: Saka for Vlahovic a deal that just won’t happen

The transfer window always throws up some big rumours, both realistic and unrealistic, and it seems we’re only a day into the new year for a big one to drop.

Of course, this surely won’t happen. It seems utterly bizarre that Arsenal would consider such a move and sounds more like Juventus are trying to sound out players they have eyes on.

Saka should be signing that Arsenal contract soon enough. Vlahovic continues to be mentioned as we know. But despite his quality, there won’t be an Arsenal fan out there who’d swap Saka for him.
