'Just been developing': Sky journalist has very latest news about Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White live on air

Nottingham Forest have just had another offer turned down for Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, with journalist Mark McAdam delivering the latest news live on Sky Sports News

Reports have suggested that Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is trying everything to sign the 20-year-old this summer but it looks like Wolves have rebuffed another approach.

McAdam spoke on Sky Sports News today and said Steve Cooper’s men have now had three bids for the Gibbs-White rejected during the current transfer window. The latest offer is thought to be around £35 million from Forest.

“This is a story that’s just been developing over the last few moments, and Nottingham Forest who have been one of the movers and shakers in the transfer window so far, are trying to get more players for Steve Cooper,” he said.

“And their pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White has resulted in their third bid being rejected by Wolves. We understand the package to be worth a total of £35 million, that’s made up of £25 million down and £10 million in potential add-ons.

“Nottingham Forest are continuing their talks with Wolves over the player, and it’s unexpected at this time whether they will go in for a fourth time. But he is a player that is very highly rated by Steve Cooper.”

“Once again, Steve Cooper is looking to add to his squad, so yeah, a really fascinating story developing today.”

Forest bid rejected for Gibbs-White

Gibbs-White spent last season on loan at Sheffield United and impressed at Bramall Lane.

The attacking midfielder scored 12 goals and put up 10 assists for the Blades in all competitions.

The youngster is a player that Cooper will know well as his side faced off against the Blades in the Championship and in the play-offs semi-final.

Forest have made 12 signings already this summer as they attempt to stay in the Premier League this season and it seems that Cooper is not done yet.

But Wolves boss Bruno Lage clearly sees a future for the youngster at Molineux as the club have now apparently rejected three offers from Forest. It will be intriguing to see if Cooper goes in for Gibbs-White yet again as he is clearly a player he admires.
