'Pay attention to Liverpool': Journalist claims 'amazing' player would love Anfield move right now
Liverpool stands a better chance of signing Jude Bellingham than Real Madrid as things stand, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.
The England midfielder is one of the most in-demand players in world football right now. His performances for Dortmund have been outstanding. On the back of that, he is believed to be high on Liverpool’s wish list.
Of course, others are keen on Bellingham. Real Madrid are one of those clubs. But according to journalist Rudy Galetti, it is Liverpool who hold the aces at the moment.
“The good relationship between Blancos and BVB could facilitate the negotiation. But Real Madrid must pay attention to Liverpool, who have long been on the trail of the English midfielder,” Galetti wrote for Tribal Football.
“Jude, at the moment, seems to prefer Premier League to La Liga. And this is the main barrier to be overcome. The midfielder’s contract expires in 2025 and finding an agreement with the agent on personal terms (currently his salary is around 1,6 million euros) does not seem to be an issue. But the will to come back home, to his own England, may be stronger than any tempting contract and cause some headaches for Florentino.”
Liverpool are flopping in this season’s Premier League. Their midfield has been the subject of criticism. Bellingham, then, could be the one they go all out for next summer.
TBR’s View: Liverpool have to sign Jude Bellingham
There’s been so much talk of Bellingham to Liverpool that if they missed out on him you’d feel it would sting the Anfield club.
Bellingham is so good that he solves their midfield issues. Sure, they’ll need other new faces as well. But Bellingham can bring so much that he can’t be missed out on.
This update from Galetti is an interesting one for the Reds. And if Bellingham’s preference is to move back to England, then the Reds have to act.
