England fans once again experienced World Cup heartbreak last night, after a disappointing defeat to France.
It was a tale of two penalties as Harry Kane could only convert one of his two spot kicks.
Rice was one of England’s standout performers throughout the World Cup, forming a brilliant partnership with Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.
Rice – who himself has been linked with a move to Liverpool – started every match and ran the game in midfield.
The Hammers skipper was bitterly disappointed at full-time, but can be very proud of his performances.

The 23-year-old is set to be a mainstay in the England team for years to come, and already has 39 senior England caps.
West Ham now have two representatives left in Qatar.
Alphonse Areola has been an unused substitute through the competition for France.
Meanwhile, Nayef Aguerd’s Morocco side have been the surprise package of the World Cup, although he’s picked up an injury.
David Moyes will be glad to have his talisman back unscathed, even if he will be very downbeat after last night.
Rice posts message after World Cup exit
Speaking on Instagram after the match, Rice said: “The greater the talent, the greater the aim.
“Another unbelievable month with this group. Some of the best memories in a football shirt, to one of the worst feelings going out of a World Cup.”

A number of his past and present teammates replied, with Joe Hart saying, “Keep growing mate, you are awesome.”
Hal Robson-Kanu said: “Go again bro, you’re destined to take the WC home.”, while Jude Bellingham simply wrote, “What a player man.”

It would be a massive surprise if this was Rice’s first and only appearance at a World Cup.
He’s demonstrated that he can play at the highest level, and has even alluded to a potential move away from West Ham.

With Liverpool circling both Rice and Bellingham, Reds fans could get to witness their fantastic partnership on a weekly basis.
However, Rice’s main focus will now be helping the Hammers climb up the table as they sit perilously close to the relegation zone.
