Liverpool would love to sign both Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham - journalist
Jurgen Klopp’s side are expected to make at least one big signing in 2023. Central midfield is their priority, and Bellingham has been linked with a move to Anfield more than any other player.
Could the Dortmund star and Rice both become Reds next year?
Liverpool would love to sign both Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham – journalist
Liverpool have had a shocking start to the new season.
They’ve won just six of their 14 first games in the Premier League and are already 15 points behind league leaders Arsenal. The title seems a bit too far away at the moment for Liverpool, but Klopp will still want his side to push.
However, the next season will be when Liverpool will want to get back to where they have been in recent years, and to do that, they will need to strengthen their squad – especially in central midfield.
O’Rourke has claimed that Klopp would love Rice and Bellingham, but the journalist hinted that a move for both is unlikely because of how much they would cost in 2023.
He told GiveMeSport: “I’m sure they would love to consider a double deal for Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham.
“It’s probably unrealistic to think that Liverpool could pull that one off, though. You’re probably talking over £200m for both of those players and that isn’t going to happen.
“We all know Liverpool’s interest in Jude Bellingham’s been there and now they’re being linked with Declan Rice as well, so it might all come down to who they can agree a deal with club wise.”
We’re not surprised that Liverpool would love to sign both Bellingham and Rice -most clubs in the country would.
However, we just can’t see the Reds splashing over £200 million on just their midfield. That makes a move for just one of them much more likely, and either of them would be brilliant.
Rice has proven his class in the Premier League for West Ham for a few years now. He is an exceptional midfielder and he can play both as a six as well as in a box-to-box role.
Bellingham, however, is definitely the man Liverpool will prioritise. He is a gem of a talent, and wherever he goes, he will likely be a star there.
