Juan Mata has been left in awe of a player Tottenham Hotspur really want to sign during the Euro 2024 final between England and Spain.

Tottenham will have been keeping close tabs on the Euros as they look to bolster their ranks this summer transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou could offload as many as 10 players, so there’s expected to be a big reshuffle across the board.

One player they’re reportedly looking at bringing in starred in the final yesterday and Juan Mata was left in awe at his performance.

Juan Mata in awe of Tottenham target Dani Olmo

TBR exclusively reported last month that Tottenham have been made aware of Dani Olmo’s £50m release clause.

The North Londoners have been keeping a close eye on him in Germany after his stellar performances for Spain.

Olmo starred in the final yesterday as Spain defeated England 2-1 and Juan Mata heaped praise on his performance.

“Dani Olmo in the second half was incredible,” Mata said on BBC One (10:32pm).

“He brings everyone together. He links the play for Spain. I love him because he finds the right pockets, he makes the right decisions, and he created all the offensive in the second half.”

Tottenham face competition from Manchester City

After Olmo’s three goals and two assists at the tournament, clubs across the continent have been put on red alert.

One of those being reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, who are eager to sign the playmaker by Tuesday.

So, Spurs will have a tough gig in trying to land his signature, though, perhaps the draw of living in the capital may tempt him.
