Journalist says Serge Gnabry can see himself rejoining Arsenal

Christian Falk has taken to Twitter to suggest that Serge Gnabry can see himself rejoining Arsenal, but a deal this summer is looking unrealistic after the Gunners missed out on qualifying for the Champions League.

Gnabry is definitely one who got away for the Gunners. The 26-year-old spent five years on the books at the Emirates without ever really forcing his way into the fold.

He has gone on to score 64 goals and provide 40 assists for Bayern Munich. However, his future with the Bavarian giants is looking to be uncertain.

His contract expires in 2023. And previous reports have claimed that he is considering leaving Bayern. It has also been suggested that Antonio Conte wants to take Gnabry to Tottenham.

The forward may indeed return to North London at some stage. But perhaps it may be Arsenal who manage to agree a deal for the Germany international.

Falk has reported on Twitter that Arsenal want Gnabry. And, crucially, he can imagine returning to the Gunners. But there is a problem preventing a deal this summer.

Falk has claimed that Mikel Arteta’s men missing out on Champions League football makes a deal financially unrealistic in this window. But it may be possible in 2023 when he becomes a free agent.

Serge Gnabry can see himself rejoining Arsenal

It would be a huge statement if Arsenal could sign Gnabry. The winger is at the peak of his powers. And he has won everything while with Bayern.

He is a ‘world-class‘ forward. And he has unfinished business at the Emirates.

Arsenal should certainly ask the question of Bayern this summer. Losing him on a free is not ideal for them. So they may be open to negotiations.

It would be an amazing way for Arsenal to bounce back from the disappointment of the last week of the Premier League if they could possibly pull off a stunning deal for Gnabry.

But clearly, it is going to be a huge ask for this summer.
