Journalist says Mudryk and Tielemans both have their hearts set on Arsenal
Football journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that Arsenal targets Mykhaylo Mudryk and Youri Tielemans both have their hearts set on a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners are currently on top of the Premier League table. They have been incredible this season, but if they want to go all the way in the title race, they’ll need some help in the January transfer window.
It looks like two players are desperate to provide Mikel Arteta that help.
Mudryk and Tielemans both have their hearts set on Arsenal
Both Mudryk and Tielemans have been linked with a move to Arsenal for a few months now.
The Leicester City midfielder, branded as ‘incredible’ by Michael Dawson, has been on Arsenal’s radar for almost a year. Goal reported back in January that the Gunners and the Belgian’s representatives held discussions about a potential transfer.
Mudryk too has been in the news a lot lately. The Ukrainian, hailed as an ‘incredible’ dribbler, has even openly admitted that he can’t turn down a move to Arsenal.
Jacobs has shared the latest on the two players, and he reveals that both Mudryk and Tielemans want to join Arsenal. However, the Gunners are yet to table a bid for either player.
The journalist told GiveMeSport: “Newcastle are very much not the frontrunners for Mudryk, who has got his heart set on Arsenal, a bit like Tielemans has got his heart set on Arsenal.
“But, with both Tielemans and Mudryk, Arsenal simply haven’t bid at this point.”
TBR View:
Arsenal really could do with a couple of new players in the January transfer window. They are short of options on the wing and in central midfield, which makes those two positions Edu’s priorities.
Thankfully for Arsenal, there are two players who are apparently waiting to come in and strengthen those roles at the Emirates.
Tielemans is a safe bet for the Gunners. He has proven his class in the Premier League and on the international stage over the years, and he’ll likely be available for a bargain fee in the winter window as he’ll have less than six months left on his contract.
Mudryk, branded as ‘unstoppable,’ has really impressed this season. His tally of 10 goals and eight assists is better than every Arsenal player’s return so far this term, and the fact that he’s still only 21 means he’ll only get better. He would be brilliant for Arsenal.
