Journalist Sami Mokbel has told The Last Word On Spurs podcast that Leicester City want Harry Winks with Brendan Rodgers very interested in the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder.
Winks continues to be linked with a move away from North London this summer. Of course, he has spent much of Antonio Conte’s tenure on the periphery of the squad.

It had appeared that Everton may be the most likely side to sign the 26-year-old. Reports claimed that Frank Lampard wanted the England international. Meanwhile, Leeds United are also said to be admirers of the Spurs academy graduate.
However, the Whites have now signed two midfielders this summer. And reports suggested that Lampard had ultimately decided against a move.

Obviously, some may fear that that may leave Winks in a tough spot. He faces being well down the pecking order if he stays at Tottenham. But he is now also potentially running out of possible suitors.
However, Mokbel has suggested that the Foxes could offer him a new challenge.
“I definitely know that there are other Premier League clubs interested in Harry Winks, one certainly being Leicester,” he told The Last Word On Spurs.
“I think Leicester have certainly got a keen interest in Harry Winks. He’s a Brendan Rodgers-type of player. He’s comfortable on the ball, comfortable in possession, can find a pass. So if the price is right and the deal is right, I think that deal will have legs, and could have legs moving forward for sure.”
Leicester want Harry Winks
Winks should jump at the chance to join Leicester if they make a move. They are one of the sides with the potential to upset the apple cart in the Premier League.
They were in Europe last year and finished eighth in the top-flight. So it could be a fantastic opportunity for Winks.
He is a player Mauricio Pochettino described as ‘amazing‘. Joining a club such as Leicester would possibly provide him with the stage to finally realise that potential.
