Leeds United are interested in signing Harry Winks with Tottenham Hotspur ready to sell the midfielder for £20 million this summer, according to a report from the Liverpool Echo.
The Whites of course are about to have a massive void to fill in the middle of the park. Kalvin Phillips looks to be closing in on joining Manchester City.

They have brought in Marc Roca. But with Jesse Marsch generally preferring a 4-2-2-2 system, it does appear that Leeds need more depth in midfield.
And the Liverpool Echo reports that Winks has now come onto Leeds’ radar. There are several sides monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation, and Everton have already opened talks with Spurs about the academy graduate.

Moving to Goodison Park is his preference. But there is a disagreement over what kind of deal the Toffees want. Frank Lampard wants Winks on loan, while Spurs are holding out for a £20 million fee.
So perhaps Leeds could yet make a move to try and snatch Winks from Everton’s grasp.
Leeds interested in Harry Winks
Of course, Leeds fans are no strangers to links with Winks. Marcelo Bielsa reportedly rejected the chance to take the midfielder on loan during the most recent January transfer window.
But Victor Orta does tend to keep targets on his radar. And obviously, Marsch has now replaced Bielsa at Elland Road.
Winks would arguably be a divisive target amongst some of the Leeds fanbase. He is a good player, who has represented England on a number of occasions.
Mauricio Pochettino described him as ‘amazing‘ during his tenure at Tottenham. But that was some time ago.
Winks has struggled to kick on in North London. And he is now facing being fifth in the pecking order should he stick around.
In fairness, some Leeds fans were frustrated that they did not sign Winks when relegation was looming. But when the Whites need a midfielder after losing Phillips, Winks would arguably seem an underwhelming addition.
