Journalist Darren Lewis has told The Last Word On Spurs podcast that he expects Harry Winks to join Everton from Tottenham Hotspur, with Antonio Conte unconvinced that he is physical enough for his side.
Winks is one player Spurs fans are probably expecting to see the back of this summer. The England international struggled to force his way into Conte’s plans following his appointment last season.

Tottenham signed Rodrigo Bentancur in January. And they have since added Yves Bissouma to their ranks. So it would appear that Winks is now fifth-choice in North London.
Unsurprisingly, reports have claimed that he could leave, with Leeds and Everton named as admirers of the 26-year-old.

Leeds have since signed three central midfielders. Meanwhile, Frank Lampard reportedly has reservations about the £20 million-rated Spurs player.
Nevertheless, Lewis believes that Winks will secure a move to Goodison Park before the deadline passes.
“I remember covering Conte’s Chelsea side. And they had a lot of quality, but they were also very physical as well,” he told The Last Word On Spurs podcast.
“And I think if you look at the midfield you have, they all have that about them. And perhaps he doesn’t think that Winks has got that. It’s a shame, but I think he’ll move him on and I think Everton will sign him.”

It would be a boost for Tottenham to find a new home for Winks this summer, particularly if he leaves permanently. He appears unlikely to feature almost at all should he stick around.
Obviously, if they receive a substantial fee for him, that would be a boost. Spurs may have their eye on one or two more signings. And any sales will help with that.
Winks meanwhile, can get his career back on track. He was considered an ‘amazing‘ talent when he was coming through in North London.
Perhaps that may be what potentially convinces the Toffees to make a move in the coming weeks.
