Chelsea’s Estevao Willian has been gaining all the headlines after his dazzling first few performances for the Blues, and he’s now received huge praise from Joao Pedro.

Chelsea signed Estevao from Palmeiras in 2024 for £29million, but the winger didn’t join the Blues until this summer.

He has wasted no time making an impact at Stamford Bridge, and his performances have created quite a buzz, forcing Enzo Maresca to play him.

The tricky winger was included in Chelsea’s Champions League squad, which means he’ll have the chance to play in Europe’s elite competition, which will push him even further.

Joao Pedro compares Estevao Willian to Vinicius Jr.

Estevao has caught the attention of the entire footballing world after making a sensational start to his Premier League career, and even his own teammates are impressed with what they’ve seen.

Fellow Chelsea newboy Joao Pedro spoke to The Standard about the 18-year-old, and he had high praise for him and his potential ceiling in football.

“Mate, he’s from the street. You can see he is natural. Tosin [Adarabioyo] said to me: ‘Joao, wow. Estevao is amazing.’

“Playing for Brazil and Chelsea at 18, oh my God. He’s going to be like Vinicius Jr.”

Being compared to Vinicius Jr is high praise, given everything that the Real Madrid star has achieved in the game, but it’s evident that those within Cobham believe that the youngster is capable.

After being on the bench for the first Premier League fixture of the season, Estevao started the following two matches and picked up one assist as he looks to begin influencing Chelsea’s season.

Joao Pedro is helping Estevao Willian settle into Chelsea

Pedro might be one of Chelsea’s new signings, but he has life experience in England due to his time at Brighton & Hove Albion, which is why he’s trying to help Estevao relax.

Pedro is doing all he can to make life a little easier for his fellow Brazilian, while also pushing him to learn and adapt to being in England, all of which should help Chelsea on the pitch in the long run.

“Estevao is shy. It’s difficult for him to adapt. I try to push him to ask for his breakfast in English.

“Sometimes training is too long for him and he feels tired before gym. I don’t always need to do the gym, but I go with him because this is very important for him.

“He knows how physical the Premier League is. Me and Andrey [Santos] push him.”

Meanwhile, on the pitch, Estevao is enjoying Cole Palmer as a teammate, having described the England international as being like his brother already.
