Chelsea took on Crystal Palace in the Premier League, with youngster Estevao Willian getting minutes for the Blues on his league debut.
The game included VAR controversy after a disallowed Eberechi Eze free-kick, but all eyes were on Chelsea’s new talent.
Estevao came on in the second half, arriving with high expectations and already hailed as one of the most exciting youngsters in world football.

He quickly drew attention from fans on social media, who loved what they saw from the winger.
Chelsea fans loved Estevao’s Premier League debut
Fans liked what they saw from the wonderkid. Many flocked to X to shower him with praise.
One fan says: “Estevao is going to be undeniable in this team soon. Kid is a baller, comes on and looks very bright.”
Another adds: “Seen enough. Estevao needs to start every week. Done more than Gittens did in five minutes.”
One supporter comments: “Estevao is genuinely exciting every time he touches the ball.”
Another fan adds: “Estevao being on the pitch is electric. Gonna be fun to watch!”
One more says: “Estevao shrugging off that Premier League physicality with ease.”
A final puts, highlighting his impact: “Since Estevao came in, that’s where we have had a bit of joy, just get the ball to him, no, they are using the left hand side which we aren’t getting any joy from.”
Estevao Willian could be generational for Chelsea
It’s safe to say that at just 18, the sky is simply the limit for the Brazilian. Amid a sea of young talent at Chelsea, the fact that Estevao is being trusted by Enzo Maresca in games over other players speaks volumes.
The Italian has previously stated not to expect to see him too much, but given his talent, it’s hard to ignore him.
Maresca said: “We need to pay a little bit more attention, because first of all, he’s from the other part of the world and also he’s very, very young. So we need to pay attention.

“As I said, he is not under pressure, give him happiness, give him time, he needs to adapt. Hopefully we can give him minutes, so he’s even more happy. But for sure, he’s a talented player.
“For me, the biggest mistake we can do with him is to put him under pressure. He’s very young, he needs to adapt.”
Chelsea take on West Ham on Friday evening. Will he get more minutes in their next fixture?
