Jermain Defoe suggests he’s getting fed up of what Mohamed Salah keeps doing at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah scored again for Liverpool at the weekend to move one step further up the all-time Premier League goalscoring charts.

Salah now sits above Robbie Fowler in the all-time scoring charts, and he may well have his eye on overtaking Thierry Henry by the end of the season.

Salah only overtook Jermain Defoe on this list a few weeks ago, and speaking on Premier League Productions, Defoe noted how frustrated he is with Salah’s consistent goalscoring antics and how he keeps moving down this list of goalscoring greats.

Jermain Defoe fed up of Mohamed Salah goalscoring

Defoe joked about how he doesn’t want Salah to keep scoring.

Salah is moving further and further away from Defoe on the all-time scoring charts, and Defoe is now barely clinging on to a place in the top 10.

“He’s two goals ahead of you now Jermain,” Defoe was told.

“I know, mate, I keep looking at the results every week and saying ‘he’s not scored again has he?’”

How many goals could Salah end up with?

Salah is now on 163 Premier League goals, and he’s far from being finished yet.

The Egyptian continues to move up the list of all-time Premier League goalscorers, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Salah’s contract is up at the end of the season, so there may be a limit on how high Salah’s goal tally can go.

However, Salah is apparently happy at Liverpool, so perhaps he could end up staying at Anfield.

Salah apparently has his eye on Ian Rush’s goalscoring record at Liverpool, and while it’s unlikely that he will break Alan Shearer’s tally of 260 Premier League goals, it’s not unrealistic to suggest that Salah could overtake Harry Kane’s tally of 213 if he stays at Liverpool for a few more years.

Don’t be surprised if Salah ultimately ends up becoming the second-greatest goalscorer the Premier League has ever seen.
