Jarrod Bowen has ranked Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney ahead of Manchester City icon Sergio Aguero.
The two strikers are absolute legends of the Premier League. They are among the greatest forwards this country has ever seen, and Manchester United and Manchester City fans always end up debating who’s better. Bowen has had his say now.

Jarrod Bowen ranks Wayne Rooney above Sergio Aguero
Wayne Rooney is an idol to many Manchester United supporters, while without Sergio Aguero, Manchester City wouldn’t have won the Premier League title in 2012.
The Englishman spent 13 years at Old Trafford after joining the club from Everton in 2004. He scored over 250 goals for the Red Devils and won everything during his time there.
Rooney left Manchester United and rejoined Everton on a free transfer in 2017 (Daily Mail), but he is still adored by fans at Old Trafford for all the memories he gave them over the years. Diogo Dalot thinks he’s even better than Erling Haaland.
Aguero, on the other hand, spent 10 years at Manchester City and scored 260 goals for them in all competitions – seven more than Rooney despite playing 169 games fewer.
It’s always a fascinating debate when people argue about who the better player was in their prime. West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen appears to prefer Rooney over Aguero.
In a blind ranking video on Goal, Bowen put Aguero in second place.
When the interviewer said Rooney’s name, the Hammers star put him right at the up, above the Manchester City legend.
Rooney vs Aguero is a never-ending debate
Manchester United fans will always pick Wayne Rooney, while Manchester City supporters will point out how Sergio Aguero has a better goal return to argue their case.
This debate will go on for a long, long time, and we don’t think it will ever end. The best way to pick a winner, in our opinion, would be to break it down into two categories.
As an out-and-out striker, Aguero is probably better because of how many goals he scored for City during his 10-year stay there.
However, overall, we’ll have to give it to Rooney because he was way more complete as a player. He played in numerous different positions and was wonderful in all of them.
