A number of Liverpool stars considered following Jurgen Klopp on his way out of Liverpool this summer.
The Reds have had to fend off transfer interest in their biggest stars as they look to write a new chapter under manager Arne Slot.
Virgil van Dijk had been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, while Real Madrid showed an interest in Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Liverpool have kept hold of both stars for the 2024-25 campaign as well as Mohamed Salah, who was also linked to Saudi Arabia.
The Egyptian winger, who arrived at Anfield for £34million in 2017, has remained on Merseyside and started the season in fine form with a goal against Ipswich Town.

Jamie Redknapp on Mohamed Salah transfer rumours
There has been a lot of talk about Liverpool not signing anyone this summer, but it was far more important for Slot to keep Klopp’s winning side intact.
Liverpool may have had to reject huge bids from Saudi to keep the band together, but Mohamed Salah has already shown Slot just how priceless he is with a stellar performance at Portman Road.
Jamie Redknapp admitted that he is “surprised” Salah is still with the Reds this season.
“The most important thing is you don’t panic now and just start splashing money everywhere and go, oh, we need to bring someone in,” Redknapp told Mail Sport.
“Don’t sign players for the sake of it, they’ve got to be better than what you’ve already got.
“Liverpool have a really good nucleus of squad. I thought that Salah might leave and I was pleasantly surprised that he hasn’t because he’s still important as he proved on the opening weekend.”
Contract issues at Liverpool
Keeping hold of the likes of Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk and Salah is a huge win for Liverpool, but only in the short term.

Their contracts at Anfield all expire next summer, and losing all three without receiving a penny in return would be disastrous for Liverpool.
Once the window slams shut at the end of the month, Liverpool must get to work on offering new contracts to their most important players.
