Jamie O'Hara says Tottenham are still 'miles off' Chelsea this season

Former Tottenham midfielder, Jamie O’Hara, believes he was proven right in his pre-match prediction about how today’s clash with Chelsea would go.

Spurs were soundly beaten by the Blues. Thomas Tuchel’s men ran out 3-0 winners in the end, thanks to goals from Silva, Kante, and Rudiger.

It was, in the main, easy pickings for Chelsea. Spurs did have a short spell in the first half where they did ok at times. But over the 90 minutes, they were simply not up to the task against Tuchel’s well-drilled outfit.

Before the game, O’Hara had been on TV and suggested that Chelsea would have too much in the locker for Nuno Santo’s men. And taking to Twitter after the game, he insisted he was proven right.

A number of players had off days, especially in the second half. Indeed, fellow pundit and Sky Sports regular, Roy Keane, slammed Harry Kane for what he said was ‘poor body language’ during the 90 minutes.

But for that 20 minute or so spell in the opening 45 minutes, Spurs were simply not up to the task against the Blues today.

Chelsea just had too much power, strength, and in the end, quality.

There’ll be things Nuno Santo thinks he can work on. But here, O’Hara is right in his assessment of this Tottenham side. They are just way off the top teams in this league, and need to improve massively.

Failure to do so could lead to a long old season for the club. Santo, then, might even be looking over his shoulder before too long.
