Tottenham didn’t have the best of evenings against Chelsea on Monday.
The north London club lost 4-1 against the Blues, but the long-term ramifications of this result could be felt for weeks.
Injuries and suspensions have now taken hold of this Tottenham team, and a massive reshuffle will be needed in the next few weeks.
Spurs don’t have the best depth, and, frustratingly, it also looks like they may have a bit of a problem in the midfield as Rodrigo Bentancur doesn’t quite look up to speed just yet.
Speaking on TalkSPORT’s live watchalong of the Spurs vs Chelsea game, Jamie O’Hara gave Bentancur a scathing review during the match, claiming that he looked like he was chasing shadows during the game and that he still didn’t look fit.

Bentancur didn’t look fit
O’Hara shared his verdict on the £20m Uruguayan.
“Bentancur. You look like you’ve been out for 10 months. You look like you’ve been out for a long time. Why’s he put him on? Why has he played in this game? He’s been chasing shadows,” O’Hara said.
“I think he’s brilliant, and I can’t wait for when he’s back fit properly, but now he looks like he has been out for a long time.”
Not too worrying
It’s concerning that Bentcancur has returned in this way, but, at the same time, the game against Chelsea would’ve made any midfielder look unfit.
Playing with nine men is difficult at the best of times. Let alone when you’re returning from a long injury layoff.
Bentancur didn’t look himself, it has to be said, but the fact that his team were two players down only exposed his ongoing issues further.
Luckily, it often doesn’t take a player too long to get back into the swing of things after a few games, so we’re expecting a marked improvement from the Uruguayan in the coming weeks as he’s been judged to be ready to return to action.
