Alejandro Garnacho is a Chelsea player, and there’s plenty of excitement around this deal.

Garnacho has joined Chelsea, and he joins the Blues with a serious point to prove.

The winger was tipped as a top talent at one point in his career. However, Garnacho’s attitude has been questioned at times at Manchester United.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher has already spotted an issue with Garnacho after signing for Chelsea, noting that he’s already done something he can’t stand.

Jamie Carragher criticises Alejandro Garnacho

Carragher was asked to assess whether or not Alejandro Garnacho will be a hit or a miss as a signing.

The pundit says that he’s not a fan of Garnacho, criticising him for being on his phone during the game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday against Fulham when he was watching from the stands.

“I’m not a fan of Garnacho. Do you know what I didn’t like? Did you see the game yesterday, when they cut to the crowd and they were on their phones when the game is on. It’s not just him, lots of people do it. I can’t stand it,” Carragher said.

“A miss for that, being on his phone when the game is on.”

Alejandro Garnacho’s past criticisms were just as ridiculous

Carragher criticised Garnacho for going on his phone during a match, and that does seem like a rather minor nitpick.

Garnacho has faced this sort of criticism before though. After all, Graeme Souness criticised Garnacho for wearing an earring during a warm-up in the past.

“He’s an exceptional talent. But I worry for him. Call me a dinosaur, but he’s got two earrings during the warm up. They get too much too soon at Man United. They get so much attention, Man United players,” Souness said.

Ultimately, these sorts of issues are incredibly minor, and something that fans shouldn’t worry about.

Garnacho will let his football do the talking this season, and, hopefully, he will be able to silence a few of his critics after making this move to Chelsea.
