The Arne Slot era is underway at Liverpool, and while the Dutchman has been in his role for a little while now, it still feels as though we’re just getting to know the new Liverpool manager.

Slot has been working with his team for a little while now, and James Pearce has had the privilege of watching some of Slot’s training sessions during the tour of the USA.
Speaking on the Blood Red Podcast, Pearce shared some of his observations when watching Slot’s training sessions, and he noted something interesting about the manager.
Indeed, Pearce says that Slot kept standing at different points on every side of the pitch in order to accurately analyse his Liverpool team from every angle.

What Mikel Arteta has said about Arne Slot
Arne Slot seems to be stamping his authority on this Liverpool side early doors.
The Dutchman has his team playing some really good stuff in pre-season, and Mikel Arteta reckons Liverpool could be even better than they were under Jurgen Klopp.
“I think so (Liverpool will be better). We all have to start competing and earning our right to show how good we are. But the team’s looking good. With the games I’ve seen in pre-season, it’s clear what he‘s been trying to implement. It was a tough game for us,” Arteta said after Arsenal’s recent friendly against Liverpool.
Slot seems to be doing all of the right things in training, and while Liverpool’s transfer business hasn’t quite got off the ground yet, with a few solid additions, the Reds could really challenge this year.
