Manchester City fans have suggested that Jack Grealish’s move from Aston Villa to them could be getting closer after Leon Bailey signed.
Bailey joins
Villa strengthened their attack further this morning by bringing in Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen.
Villa have now signed Bailey and Emiliano Buendia this summer to strengthen their forward options, amid rumours that Grealish could depart.
And City supporters have suggested that Villa are only making such moves as they want to replace Grealish.
Is it linked?
Now, Grealish’s move to City remains a possibility – especially with the Athletic refuting claims that he is having any doubts over a move.
However, Bailey’s move to Villa is unlikely to be directly linked to Grealish’s departure.

Villa’s preferred plan is actually likely to be to keep Grealish and Bailey in the same team, with Buendia also lining up behind the striker.
If Dean Smith’s side were able to play those three together they may well have the tools to mount a real challenge for at least a top half finish.
But keeping Grealish out of City’s clutches with the Premier League champions pushing so hard to sign him will be a huge test.
Indeed, reports in the Daily Mail have emerged today saying that a deal could be done in the next 24 hours, meaning that the speculation could be coming to an end soon.
